Synchronization

Synchronization is used to control the access of multiple threads to shared resources.

Synchronized Method:

class Counter {
    private int count = 0;

    public synchronized void increment() {
        count++;
    }

    public synchronized int getCount() {
        return count;
    }
}

public class SynchronizationExample {
    public static void main(String[] args) {
        Counter counter = new Counter();

        Thread thread1 = new Thread(() -> {
            for (int i = 0; i < 1000; i++) {
                counter.increment();
            }
        });

        Thread thread2 = new Thread(() -> {
            for (int i = 0; i < 1000; i++) {
                counter.increment();
            }
        });

        thread1.start();
        thread2.start();

        try {
            thread1.join();
            thread2.join();
        } catch (InterruptedException e) {
            e.printStackTrace();
        }

        System.out.println("Count: " + counter.getCount()); // Output: 2000
    }
}

In the example, the increment() and getCount() methods of the Counter class are synchronized to avoid data inconsistency.
